Coil Operator**
**Job Description**
As a Coil Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by pulling materials and issuing them to work orders in the ERP System. You will measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on materials or workpieces as guides for processing. You will utilize tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure precision. Your responsibilities include verifying the conformance of finished workpieces to drawings and specifications, transferring heat numbers to parts, and printing labels with part numbers, job numbers, and heat numbers to affix to parts.
**Responsibilities**
+ Pull material and issue to work order in the ERP System.
+ Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on materials or workpieces as guides for processing.
+ Use calipers, micrometers, and tape measures for precise measurements.
+ Verify conformance of finished workpieces to drawings and specifications.
+ Transfer heat numbers to parts.
+ Print labels including part numbers, job numbers, and heat numbers, and affix to parts.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Experience with assembly and coil winding.
+ Machine operation skills, specifically as a Coil Operator.
+ Knowledge of CNC operation and compressor assembly.
+ Mechanical assembly skills.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Proficiency in using a tape measure and CNC machinery.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
+ 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to perform basic mechanical functions and understand equipment operations.
+ Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
+ Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
