Job Summary: Installs, maintains, repairs and commissions HVAC products and Operations/Manufacturing equipment.
Essential Responsibilities/Activities:
- Installs, maintains, repairs and commissions HVAC products and Operations/Manufacturing equipment to ensure product design requirements are installed correctly per manufacturer and AAON procedures.
- Applies laws, regulations, and departmental policies regarding testing.
- Selects commonly used approaches to overcome weight, volume, vibration, heat transfer, electrical or other problems associated with HVAC and manufacturing machinery.
- Schedules calibration of instruments and maintains instrumentation records.
- Makes detailed measurements with a variety of detection and measurement instruments.
- Provides feedback and solutions to problems that arise during testing.
- Creates field studies for existing equipment.
- Recognizes discrepancies and deviations in testing results.
- Reviews product design for company standards, engineering principles, and specifications.
- Reads and understands technical manuals, instructions, and criteria.
- Provides customer relations in field service work.
Travels, when necessary, for training, machine witness testing, and other needs when requested

Education and Experience Requirements:
Degree(s): Associate's degree in HVAC or Related Technical Schooling
License(s): Refrigerant Handling License
Certification(s): None
- Two-year HVAC degree from a technical school.
- Minimum of 0-2 years in the HVAC industry or equivalent manufacturing experience in a similar industry.
Essential Mental Functions:
- Communicates effectively in written and spoken form.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
- Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem solving abilities.
- Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.
- Works effectively in a team environment.
- Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
Essential Physical Functions:
- Lift up to 50lbs.
- Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
- Periodic visits to manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
