Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, or Wednesday through Saturday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
General Summary of Position
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Entry-Level Laborer to join our prefabrication welding shop. In this role, you'll support daily shop operations, assist welders and fabricators, and learn the foundations of metalwork and welding. No prior experience is required, just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and attention to safety.
Essential (Core Competencies) Duties
Assist welders and fabricators with material handling and preparation.
Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products around the shop.
Use hand and power tools to grind, clean, and prep metal surfaces.
Measure and mark materials using basic tools (tape measure, square, chalk).
Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Perform general shop cleanup and routine maintenance of tools and equipment.
Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times.
Help stage components for assembly and welding.
Marginal Functions:
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Able to read a tape measure and basic shop drawings (or willing to learn).
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a loud, industrial environment.
Dependable, on time, and willing to take direction.
Previous labor or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.

Work Environment
The work environment will consist mainly of heavy work in a manufacturing environment. There may be some exposure to seasonal humidity and extreme heat over 85 degrees, excessive noise, and some vibration associated with the use of tools and equipment. Some hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, caustic chemical, and slippery and uneven walking surfaces exist.
Physical Requirements Continued
Due to the physical nature of the position, employee must have full dexterity of their hands and arms.
Employee must be able to see objects close and far away
At times, multiple sounds can be heard as employee is working on job, employee must have the ability to focus on the sound in particular that is associated with the task they are completing. Employees with any sort of hearing impairment would not be considered fit for duty to perform this position.
Due to the safety sensitive nature of the position, at all times, employee must be fit for duty and not report to work under the influence of a mind altering or performance altering substance. At no time, should employee be found to be possessing or using a mind or performance altering substance while performing any Company task.
