Join Our Team as a Supervising Engineer
Are you a seasoned engineering professional with a passion for leading impactful projects and mentoring the next generation of engineers? We're seeking a dynamic Supervising Engineer to oversee and contribute to a variety of construction projects within our Department/Division.
What You'll Do
Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Project Oversight: Plan, prioritize, and supervise engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines.
Technical Expertise: Provide guidance on complex engineering challenges, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, laws, and safety regulations.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with contractors, utility companies, and government agencies to facilitate project success.
Budget Management: Assist in developing and managing project budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficiency.
Community Engagement: Communicate project plans and progress to the public, addressing concerns and promoting transparency.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in engineering roles with progressive responsibility.
Licensure: Possession of a valid State of Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, or equivalent licensure in architecture or landscape architecture. Candidates with out-of-state licenses must obtain Florida licensure within 12 months of hire.
Additional Requirements: Fingerprinting and a valid Florida Driver's License may be required.

- Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared or declared emergency. The County's Administrative Office will determine who will be required to work on an incident-by-incident basis.
