Pay Range: $19.74/hr. - $24.67/hr.

- Monday - Thursday 7am - 5:30pm
- Tuesday - Friday 7am - 5:30pm
- Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
This position is a first responder in severe weather conditions/emergencies which will be subject to work after hours, emergency call back hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and will participate in an on-call rotation schedule.

An Equipment Operator job is available with the Transportation and Public Works/Stormwater Operations Division. Candidates selected for this position will work in the CCTV Program.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED.
- One (1) year of responsible experience in operation of heavy equipment or construction experience.
- Must possess a Class A Driver's License and ability to obtain a Tank Endorsement will be required within six (6) months of hire. Operations of a hydro-mulch vehicle, water truck, and/or Vactor as required.
- Must pass Drug Screen, Physical.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices
- Work zone safety
- Confine space entry
- Additional construction repair and maintenance experience
- Experience with saws, compressor, generator, various hand tools, skid steer, excavator, CCTV inspection, vacuum trucks and tools or equipment related to assigned division.
- Basic computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Office
- Data entry experience.
An Equipment Operator job responsibility include:
- Assure project work quality and efficiency specifications and timelines are met.
- Pulling and hooking up high pressure hoses cleaning storm drains and pipes. This includes, positioning of truck, feeding and retrieving high pressure lines from inlets and pipes.
- Inspect and clean, storm lines, manholes, and inlets as necessary.
- Work in all weather conditions and have the ability to work in confined spaces such as storm inlets and pipe 18" diameter and up, willing to get dirty.
- Maintain paperwork, respond to high priority calls, provide training and instruction to other personnel who operate equipment related to assigned division.
- Equipment operations and manual labor duties as they relate to maintenance operations.
- Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in the department policy and city personnel rules and regulations.
