Reporting directly to the Director of Special Projects, we are looking for a Project Manager to execute day-to-day management of assigned projects. The Project Manager, working in predictive and hybrid environments, will develop and execute detailed project management plans together with his/her assigned project team.Projects will focus on strategic growth initiatives and related activities as identified by executive leadership. Common project scopes may include mergers & acquisitions, system migrations, process improvements, market penetration, and software/hardware implementations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day operations alongside the project team and ensure project targets (scope, schedule, cost, EHS, quality) are constantly monitored to ensure project delivery & success
  • Develop detailed project management & execution plans and implement them
  • Tracking, reviewing and maintaining a detailed project plan
  • Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan
  • Implement the project management plan according to the required project charter
  • Manage assigned resources to ensure project meets deliverables & expected benefits and at the interest of the organization
  • As needed, manage contractors and vendors to support projects.
  • Responsible for sign off and punch list finalization
  • Responsible for claims management (with the procurement) and resolving of technical issues
  • Working closely with other stakeholders and sub project teams to ensure proper interfacing and alignment in the overall project plan
  • Resolving cross-functional issues at project level
  • Providing status update to the key stakeholders via regular meetings and reports
  • Prepares & delivers change requests and follows standard change control process with the support of the project team and cost controller
  • Initiating, recording, managing and resolving project issues and escalating when needed to the program owner and project sponsor as described in the project charter
  • Responsible for all project documentation control and formal communication
  • Responsible for final documentation gathering and storage/archiving in document system
  • Ensures adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety guidelines, directives and standards

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required, and three (3) years project management experience in or a combination of education and experience.
  • Project and/or program management experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to independently manage medium to high risk, high complexity, and high stakeholder visibility projects
  • Knowledgeable of project management standards, processes, procedures,and guidelines
  • Knowledgeable of industry project management best practices
  • Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess advanced skills in the use of project management software
  • Demonstrate ability to manage project budgets and timelines
  • Must be adept with the use of negotiation techniques to reach agreement when there are widely differingviewpoints
  • Effectively facilitate interaction with executive level
  • Able to consistently set clear expectations, manage team performance, and build high morale among team members

Additional Information

Travel: This position will require up to 30% travel.

Location: St. Louis, MO

Compensation: $75,000-$95,000

Benefits: Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, company-paid life insurance, Employee Ownership Plan, matching 401k, paid time off, Paid Holidays (10 a year), and Milestone bonus.

Physical Demands: Lifting a minimum of 15 lbs on a daily. Position requires standing and using a computer and/or phone for extended periods of time.
