This posting is for a full-time, 12-month, 40 hours per week, non-exempt position. The expectations are to both perform and manage work orders, projects, and other duties as delegated by the AVP Facilities Services, Operations Coordinator, as well as the Trades Lead. This position is expected to have extensive professional working knowledge of multiple aspects of building maintenance including but not limited to: Carpentry, Flooring Installation, Tile & Grouting, and Door & Hardware. Also, basic working knowledge of: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and other duties as assigned by Management. This position will require overtime to cover special projects, events, and snow removal. Also, this position is part of the call-in rotation with other Facilities Services employees.
Essential Functions
This position requires regular, predictable, reliable attendance in the office environment.
1. Support Trades Lead and other Trades technicians, coordinating with contractors to repair and maintain buildings and structures owned and operated by the University of Findlay.
2. Extensive experience in building and repairs for walls and structures, floors, and doors.
3. Perform basic electrical repairs and installation of outlet, plugs, & lights.
4. Perform basic plumbing repairs of toilets, drains, faucets, drinking fountains.
5. Assist in snow removal, as assigned.
6. Perform all other duties deemed appropriate for the position.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at campus job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body; be able to reach overhead; be able to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time; be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks; and be able to frequently lift 50 pounds of weight throughout the assigned workday.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time 12-month position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position may require evening and weekend work.
Travel
Travel is an expectation of this position. A valid drivers license and a safe driving record required.
Required Education and Experience
1. High School diploma.
2. Three years of work-related experience.
