Job Title: Aluminum Canopy Fabricator

Location: Bryan, TX

Job Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Fabrication Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aluminum Canopy Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing custom aluminum canopy structures based on specifications and drawings. This position requires proficiency in aluminum welding, cutting, grinding, and the use of hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate aluminum canopies, awnings, and structural components from raw materials based on engineering drawings and blueprints.

Cut, bend, weld, and assemble aluminum components using MIG/TIG welding and other fabrication techniques.

Operate machinery and tools such as saws, shears, brakes, grinders, and drills.

Ensure all products meet quality standards and project specifications.

Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications, identifying and correcting defects.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.

Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and improve processes.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in welding or metal fabrication preferred.

Proven experience in aluminum fabrication and welding (minimum 2-3 years).

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.

Skilled in MIG/TIG welding, especially with aluminum.

Familiarity with common shop tools and equipment.

Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in canopy or architectural metal fabrication.

Forklift or crane operation certification.

Knowledge of architectural aluminum systems (e.g., extrusions, powder coating, anodizing).

Working Conditions:

Shop or field environment depending on project.

Exposure to noise, heat, and sharp tools.

May require occasional travel for installation or site work.
