Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Sr. Area Operations Manager to support our Western New York assets. The incumbent will report to the General Manager-Materials and will be stationed at our Pavilion location but will have responsibility for travel throughout the region. This role is positioned to be developmental in nature, with strong upward career mobility for the selected candidate. What You'll Be Doing Oversee and optimize operations across multiple plants, fleet, and dispatch to ensure maximum efficiency and quality including our new sustainable product portfolio. Develop and enforce safety protocols, fostering a strong team culture of collaboration, safety, and excellence. Prepare and implement annual operating and capital budgets as well as capital spending requests for the NY RMC organization. Lead and mentor senior staff, identify and develop talented individuals from all levels of your organization, driving a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Strategically coordinate with sales and QC teams to meet high-level customer demands and optimized delivery schedules. Utilize advanced data analytics with strong management cycles to identify strategic areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions. What Are We Looking For Ten years of experience in ready mix operations with a minimum of five years in management roles. In-depth knowledge of ready mix concrete, quality control parameters, and industry best practices. Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal regulations governing DOT operations. Proven track record of driving operational efficiency, quality, and strategic growth. Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
