Job Title: Business Development Manager IIPay Rate: 165K-275K bonus Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan, 49001,United States Job Description Position Summary/Essential Functions:Directs and generates aftermarket business opportunities for theControl Flight Control Division and Hydraulic Systems Division.Position to be based in Kalamazoo, MI. This Product Managerposition is responsible for multiple programs with high earningsand revenue accountability and complex products and sub-systemsacross the CFCD and HSD locations. Works with SSO business teamsand divisions as required to promote company technologies,products, and services that meet customer needs determining how thedivision's capabilities can be leveraged into additional markets.Responsibilities: Responsible for achieving aftermarket servicecenter's financial and customer service goals in coordination withthe assigned operating division, which may include one or moresites. Acts as primary strategic Product Line focal point foraftermarket services covering a range of products & customers.Initiates and works closely with division, site(s) and CSO Segmentteams to maximize long term aftermarket revenues and provides shortand long-term sales forecasts. Provides mentorship and executionguidance to the division site(s) customer service AftermarketServices Manager. Addresses critical longer term customer issuesand lead's project teams to improve short- & long-term processresults. Acts as primary strategic customer contact for aftermarketproducts and services including product repairs, spares, logistics,contract, and pricing negotiations. Coordinates with technical andsegment teams with field performance issues for input onresolution. Works closely with CSO and Division businessdevelopment and CSO Segment Leader's to maximize aftermarketrevenues ensuring alignment with short-and long-term salesforecasts. Develops and supports proposals and contracts designedto attract the customer and provide an acceptable level of returnto the company by researching customer requirements and translatingthem into development opportunities. Develops strategies andsolutions for contracts opened for re- negotiation during thecontract period. Conducts competitive research, evaluates salesperformance, and formulates goals and milestones for specificproducts and systems. Applies thorough understanding of thedivision's technical capabilities, operational capacity, and marketinformation to influence future and strategies. Serves as theliaison and facilitator with customers and Regional/Group Marketingto resolve issues and assure customer satisfaction regarding cost,product quality, delivery, and performance. Provides the customerand division with liaison support within and across divisions onexisting and new programs. Stays in close contact with divisiontechnology, business units and operations teams to enable rapidturnaround solutions. Develops and maintains relationships withcustomers to gain knowledge of future market and customer needs andfurther develop business opportunities. Identifies opportunitiesfor business development by studying competitors' products,problems, market intelligence, and identifying trends. Maintainsprofessional and technical knowledge by attending educationalworkshops, reviewing trade and technical publications, establishingprofessional networks, participating in professional associations,and attending industry trade shows. Establishes goals andobjectives to carry out programs or functions by coordinatingefforts across the division. Recommends actions by analyzing andinterpreting data and making complex comparative analyses.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (BA) in Marketing, Engineering,or related field.
