Now Hiring Carpenters Job Description We are seeking a skilled Commercial Finish and Rough Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in casing, trim work, and window jamb extensions, as well as installing door lock sets. This role requires reliability and dedication, working long days and occasional Saturdays during the summer, with projects spanning across the Ames area including Huxley, Ankeny, and significant work at ISU. Responsibilities Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks as required by the superintendent. Execute casing, trim work, and window jamb extensions. Install door lock sets efficiently. Engage in various projects across commercial jobsites in the Ames area. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience in carpentry, specifically commercial construction. Proficiency in framing, trim work, and finish carpentry. Experience with metal stud carpentry. Skilled in drywall installation. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1-2 years of commercial carpentry experience. Capability to perform tasks efficiently and reliably. Willingness to work extended hours during project peaks.
