Senior Quantity Surveyor Highways Heavy civils NEC Contracts Up to 70,000 We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering highways and infrastructure projects across Suffolk and Essex. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, support and mentor junior staff across multiple projects Maximise profitability and monitor contract costs against budgets Identify potential risks and prepare effective cost-control strategies Prepare estimates, procure subcontractors, and manage subcontract documentation As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, assess and certify interim and final payments to subcontractors Manage and agree main contract variations Assist with documentation for dispute resolution processes such as adjudications or arbitrations As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental standards Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor, ideally on civil engineering and highways schemes Knowledge and practical experience with NEC contracts Strong numeracy, IT skills, and excellent commercial acumen A confident communicator with strong negotiation skills and a flexible approach The Senior Quantity Surveyor must be eligible to work in the UK Benefits Life assurance (4x salary) Company car or car allowance Pension scheme (matched up to 8%) 25 days holiday + bank holidays (option to buy more) This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a supportive and progressive business, delivering vital highways and infrastructure projects across the Eastern region.
