Position Summary

The Construction Laborer supports day-to-day field operations by performing basic construction tasks, site preparation, cleanup, and material handling. This role works closely with skilled tradespeople to keep projects on schedule while maintaining a safe, clean job site.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, clean, and maintain construction sites (debris removal, sweeping, erosion control, etc.).

Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment.

Operate basic hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, compactors) under supervision.

Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing; basic demolition; trenching and backfilling.

Set up and take down temporary structures, barricades, and job-site protections.

Perform traffic control/flagging when required.

Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and report hazards or incidents immediately.

Support carpenters, electricians, masons, and other trades as directed.

Complete basic documentation (timesheets, delivery receipts) as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

0-2 years of construction or general labor experience (will train the right candidate).

Ability to use basic hand/power tools safely.

Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred (not required):

OSHA 10 certification.

Flagging certification, forklift or skid steer experience.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic construction math.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs+ regularly.

Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders/scaffolding for extended periods.

Work outdoors in all weather conditions, around dust, noise, and heavy equipment.

Wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, boots, hi-vis vest, etc.).
