EMERALD STANDARD SERVICES INC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a variety of settings. This role requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and quality work.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Installation and Maintenance**: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that all work complies with relevant codes and standards.

- **Troubleshooting**: Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

- **System Testing**: Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.

- **Blueprint Interpretation**: Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and other technical documents to determine the layout of electrical systems and equipment.

- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards. Maintain a safe work environment by following guidelines and keeping a clean workspace.

- **Project Collaboration**: Work as part of a team to complete projects on time. Collaborate with other construction professionals and tradespeople as needed.

- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked. Provide regular updates on project status to supervisors.

**Qualifications:**

- **Certification and Licensing**: Must be a licensed electrician in the relevant jurisdiction. Additional certifications in specific areas of electrical work are advantageous.

- **Experience**: Proven experience as an electrician with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Experience in both residential and commercial settings is preferred.

- **Technical Skills**: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.

- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills. Ability to identify problems and develop effective solutions quickly.

- **Physical Stamina**: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in cramped spaces.

- **Attention to Detail**: Meticulous about safety, quality, and precision in work.

- **Communication Skills**: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical information clearly and concisely.

- **OSHA10 or OSHA30 Certified.

**Working Conditions:**

- **Environment**: Work will be performed in various settings, including indoor and outdoor environments, residential and commercial buildings. Some projects may require work in confined spaces or at heights.

- **Schedule**: Full-time position with potential for overtime. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if needed to meet project deadlines.
