The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech is adding a Mid to Senior-level Scientist or Geologist/Project Manager with outstanding technical and management capabilities to grow their career with Tetra Tech. Our projects involve complex site investigations coupled with the application of innovative site remediation technologies.

The selected individual will report to senior personnel but will be expected to work largely independently, while following Tetra Techs risk and quality management policies. The selected individual will also delegate assignments to junior personnel and be responsible for overseeing completion of tasks within budgetary, schedule, and other internal and external constraints.

Location: Remote work is possible; preference for candidates located in Colorado or Texas.

Your Role:

  • Scoping and delivering a variety of project assignments, including responsibility for budget and schedule management.
  • Performing and managing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, including soil, groundwater, and soil vapor investigations.
  • Performing and managing remediation scopes.
  • Subcontractor management and field oversight.
  • Coordinating with state agencies to navigate Voluntary Cleanup Programs, Brownfields assessments, etc.
  • Data evaluation and report preparation; and
  • Conducting technical report reviews.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in environmental science or geology with at least 8 years of directly relevant work experience.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Experience conducting and managing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Familiarity with navigating Voluntary Cleanup and Brownfields processes.
  • Remediation experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with state agencies to coordinate the cleanup of contaminated properties.
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally perform fieldwork and travel.
  • Operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Excel, MS Word).
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, resourceful, and organized individual with strong planning and time management skills.
  • Current 40 hr. HAZWOPER training preferred, including records documenting original training and refreshers.
  • OSHA 30 hr. construction safety training, Safeland training, first aid training, and CPR training are desired.
  • While this position may be done remotely, preference may be given to staff located in Colorado or Texas.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Compensation:

Pay commensurate with experience.

Pay Range: $80,000 $110,000 annually

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience and demonstrated work experience in the above role; skills, certifications, and competencies that align to the specified role; geographic location; and education, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
