**Job Description**

We are seeking a dedicated heavy equipment operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a scraper to cut to grade, driving across the terrain to scrape and collect earth for removal or relocation, ultimately leveling the terrain for further grading by the Finish Dozer team. The job requires a high level of accountability, including conducting pre-inspections and end-of-day inspections of the machinery and reporting any concerns to management.

**Responsibilities**

+ Operate CAT Challenger Pull Scrapers and Quadtrac Scrapers, as well as Single or Dual Wheeled Scrapers and Pull Type Scrapers.

+ Perform pre-inspection and end-of-day inspections of machinery and report any concerns to management.

+ Drive across the terrain to scrape and collect earth for removal or relocation, leveling the terrain for further grading.

+ Adhere to a high degree of safety protocols following OSHA standards.

+ Maintain professional appearance and behavior in accordance with the Site Code of Conduct.

**Essential Skills**

+ 2+ years of experience operating scrapers on a commercial job site.

+ Proficiency in heavy equipment operation and construction.

+ Ability to operate in rough ride conditions without hesitation.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Valid Driver's License preferred.

+ Capability to be insured to operate company vehicles for a wider range of opportunities, including travel to other job sites.

**Work Environment**

Work is conducted on a civil construction site, previously farmland, with wide open spaces. The role demands adherence to stringent safety protocols as per OSHA standards. The site is active with numerous operations, requiring constant communication and awareness. Professional appearance and behavior are mandatory, as per the Site Code of Conduct.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract position based out of Rayville, Louisiana.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00/hr.
