**Key Responsibilities:**

+ **Preparation & Finishing:** Prepare furniture for finishing using blueprints and engineering drawings

+ **Quality Repairs:** Repair and polish surfaces both in the shop and on aircraft

+ **Tool Utilization:** Use a variety of sandpapers, polishes, adhesives, sprays, and hand/power tools

+ **Safety Compliance:** Adhere to safety regulations, using personal protective equipment, and maintaining clean workspaces

+ **Material Tracking:** Use systems to track parts demand and sign-off on work

**Additional Functions:**

+ Collaborate with technicians to improve processes and reduce costs using Lean Six Sigma

+ Perform various other duties as assigned

**What makes you a great fit:**

+ **Education:** High School Diploma or GED required

+ **Experience:** Two years in wood finishing; aerospace industry experience preferred

+ **Skills:** Knowledge of cabinet finishing processes, ability to read engineering specifications

+ **Physical Requirements:** Climb ladders, lift up to 40 lbs, and work in restricted areas

+ **Tech Savvy:** Must be computer literate

**Working Conditions:**

+ Work in the specialized GAC Savannah facility

+ Weekend day shifts (5:00 AM to 5:30 PM)

+ Exposure to various environments within the manufacturing setting
