Equipment Operator III (Mini-Excavator, Tandem Dump Truck)

PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK

Skilled operation of a Mini-Excavator, Tandem Dump Truck and Backhoe.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to read and write, and experience in the operation of trucks or equipment similar to those described herein; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a Class A Commercial Drivers License with airbrake and combination endorsements as issued by the State of Louisiana. Applicants must have at least a valid Commercial Drivers License or CDL permit to apply and test, but must obtain a Louisiana class A CDL with endorsements, prior to appointment. Will need to be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle.

TYPE OF EXAMINATION

Performance test on Mini-Excavator and manual transmission Tandem Dump Truck.
