Mig Welder**

**Job Description**

We are seeking skilled Mig welders for a day shift position located in Brea. The ideal candidate will have experience welding sheet metal ranging from 16 gauge to 1 inch thick using Miller Welding Machines and be proficient in vertical welding. This role requires 2-3 years of Mig welding experience.

**Responsibilities**

+ Weld accurate, quality parts according to instructions within the specified time frame using appropriate tools and equipment following safety and quality standards.

+ Perform necessary adjustments to ensure factory settings and specifications using schematics, engineering documents, and precedents.

+ Submit welded parts to quality control or appropriate team leader.

+ Read welding blueprints/drawings to determine design, size, location, and number of welds including joining and inspections information.

+ Align components using calipers, rules, and clamp pieces.

+ Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.

+ Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace by following instructions and reporting problems and repairs needed.

**Essential Skills**

+ Certified or able to pass weld certifications for hard wire MIG welding carbon steel plate up to 1 inch thick.

+ Proficiency in welding using 0.35 inch and 0.45 inch steel core wire.

+ Ability to weld in various positions including uphill, downhill, flat, and horizontally.

+ Experience in Mig welding and fabrication.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ TIG welding experience is a plus.

+ Certifications for welding are highly desired.

+ Must pass a blueprint test and a hands-on welding test.

+ Knowledge of checking and adjusting gas levels/ratios.

+ Steel toe shoes required.

+ Capability to perform heavy lifting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, California.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
