The Operations Manager will lead and manage our various operational activities within JUNK. This key leadership position is integral to our success, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our production, logistics, procurement and distribution operations. The Operations Manager will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of quality that JUNK Brands is known for and optimizing our supply chain for both domestic production and imported products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Production Oversight:
- Manages and coordinates the daily operations of the production line to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery of products.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, to optimize production processes and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Implements and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve production performance.
- Fosters an environment of continuous improvement within the team to consistently drive efficiency gains with our processes.
Fulfillment Team Management:
- Leads and mentors the fulfillment team to achieve high levels of productivity and accuracy in fulfillment.
- Develops and implements strategies to enhance order processing, picking, and shipping efficiency.
- Monitors and analyzes fulfillment metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement continuous process enhancements.
Raw Materials and Packaging Procurement:
- Work with Product Development Director to identify and evaluate suppliers, maintain strong relationships, and negotiate favorable terms.
- Place and track purchase orders, manage inventory levels efficiently, and address delays or discrepancies.
- Ensure quality standards, conduct assessments, and maintain compliance with regulations.
Inventory Management:
- Oversees inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels for both raw materials and finished goods.
- Implements inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
- Coordinates and executes regular cycle counts and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of physical and system inventory.
- Aligns inventory management with procurement planning to support uninterrupted production and fulfillment operations.
Quality Assurance:
- Collaborates with quality assurance teams to maintain high-quality standards in both production and fulfillment processes.
- Implements and enforces quality control procedures to identify and address defects or issues in a timely manner.
Warehouse Management:
- Organizes and maintains a pristine warehouse space for raw materials, packaging, and events.
- Fosters, trains, and promotes an exceptional safety environment within the warehouse.
Team Development:
- Recruits, trains, and develops a high-performing production and fulfillment team.
- Conducts performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Assesses training needs/training team members and monitoring goal progress.

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; master’s degree, preferred.
- 5-8 years of business, operations and/or project management experience.
- Functional understanding of global development, sales, manufacturing, and warehousing operations.
- Experience with ERP NetSuite software.
- Proficient mastery of Office 365 including but not limited to Teams, SharePoint, and Planner.
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Required to have close visual acuity and ability to distinguish color to perform computer tasks and operate other machinery.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with internal and external customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated) 80% of the day and occasionally reach, bend, and move inside the office to access files and products.
- Domestic and/or international travel up to 10%
- Ability to move 10-20 lbs. occasionally throughout day; occasional lifting of up to 40lbs in limited trade show environment.
