- Process field survey data effectively and accurately.
- Draft easements, write legal descriptions, and generate rights-of-way.
- Analyze and interpret legal descriptions and easement documents.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and other Technicians to provide drawings on schedule.
- Manage the setup and preparation of detailed project drawings during planning and design phases.
- Prepare permit drawing sets including plans, elevations, sections, details, and notes.
- Understand AutoCAD requirements specific to different clients and MES standards.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews on drawing files.
- Coordinate project deadlines with Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Project Manager.
- Associate's degree in AutoCAD drafting is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D for drafting easements, writing legal descriptions, and generating rights-of-way.
- Minimum of twelve years of AutoCAD Civil experience for senior -level candidates, with fifteen years being ideal.
- Minimum of four years of AutoCAD Civil experience for mid-level candidates, with five years being ideal.
- Experience with processing field survey data.
- Strong ability to read and interpret legal descriptions and easement documents.
- MDOT or Microstation experience is desirable.
- Excellent technical, written, and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry practices and regulations.
- MDOT or Microstation experience can be considered as an additional qualification.
The role is primarily based in an office setting located in Northville, with the ability to travel and/or work in the field as needed. You will be interpreting sketches, drawings, and building program information.
