Job Summary: This position performs regularly assigned journey-level skilled carpentry work in the maintenance and repair of District facilities, structures, and equipment.
Duties and Responsabilities:
The Maintenance Carpenter applies journey-level carpentry skills to a wide variety of maintenance and repair projects on District facilities, structures, and equipment; interprets building plans and specifications; layouts and designs projects from written plans and/or verbal instructions; estimates material costs; frames and finishes dry wall; designs, constructs, repairs, and relocates cabinets, shelves, and desks; installs countertops, including plastic laminates; repairs and installs floor, ceiling, and ceramic tiles and carpet; constructs concrete forms and pours and finishes concrete installations; installs hardware items; repairs lockers; prepares materials and parts orders based on job requirements; prepares necessary forms and maintains records on completed work, accounting for materials and time allotted for each job; responds to need for emergency repairs in a timely and efficient manner; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Salary: $92,864 Yearly. Salary is based upon the current 2024-25 Maintenance Salary Schedule until the 2025-26 salary schedule is released; placement on the salary schedule will be determined by Human Resources DOE. FLSA Non-Exempt.
Work Year: 8.0 hours per day, 260 days per year. Second Shift.
