Job Description:
We are hiring a skilled CWB Welder with experience in MIG welding and structural steel fabrication. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welds to CWB standards on custom metal components and assemblies.
Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding to CSA W47.1 standards (CWB Certified)
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols
Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
Fit and tack weld components prior to final weld
Maintain quality and accuracy of welds in accordance with job specifications
Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Qualifications:
Valid CWB Certification (required)
Minimum 2 years of experience welding structural steel
Experience with hard wire, flux core, and metal core welding process
Experience with fabrication equipment (cutting, grinding, fitting, etc.)
Forklift certification an asset but not required
Experience with various fabrication tools and equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
