The City of San Marcos is recruiting for a qualified Principal Civil Engineer to lead the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Engineering Division of the Development Services Department

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education/Training A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil engineering or a related field.
Experience Six years of increasingly responsible, professional civil engineering experience, including two years of project management, administrative, and/or supervisory responsibility. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE

Possession of a valid California Certificate of Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer is required. Registration in a state other than California may be considered where reciprocity exists or registration within the state may be achieved within 12 months of employment.

Possession of an appropriate, valid drivers license with satisfactory driving record
