CTG is seeking to fill a Mechanical Engineer opening for our client in Whitsett, NC. Location: Whitsett, NC Duration: 12+ months, contract to hire Duties: Research, design, develop, build, and test mechanical devices and systems, including machines, tools, and technical equipment. Apply principles of physics and materials science to solve engineering challenges across various industries. Lead and support the entire product lifecycle-from concept through manufacturing and maintenance. Design and implement new manufacturing processes while optimizing existing systems for increased efficiency. Manage production planning and scheduling to ensure timely product delivery. Develop and maintain quality control procedures; analyze data to detect and resolve quality issues. Select, install, and maintain manufacturing equipment, ensuring reliability and performance. Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities and improve production efficiency. Provide technical support across departments and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and production teams to drive continuous improvement. Skills: Strong engineering knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment. Excellent analytical skills to interpret production data and inform decisions. Proven problem-solving abilities to resolve manufacturing issues and enhance system performance. Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Solid project management skills to manage tasks, timelines, and budgets. Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, data analysis tools, and relevant engineering applications. Experience: Prior experience in a mechanical or manufacturing engineering role. Demonstrated history of improving production processes, quality, and cost efficiency. Experience with manufacturing equipment selection and process troubleshooting. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
