Position Summary

The Senior Contract Administrator will focus on reviewing, managing, and negotiating contracts to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and support our business objectives. In addition, the Sr. Contract Administrator will work in a fast-paced environment, responsible for contract administration, contract law, risk analysis and building strong interdepartmental relationships to support the sales and business development organizations within the company.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze contracts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company standards.
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, and project management teams to verify contract details and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate potential contract risks to protect the company's interests.
  • Negotiate high-risk, high-value contracts, emphasizing strategies that minimize undue risks while achieving favorable terms.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date contract records to facilitate audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Utilize Excel to analyze commercial data, generate insightful reports, and support decision-making processes.
  • Participate in the bid process, including preparing and submitting bids in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Assist the Contract Manager with additional duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented approach.
  • Manage full lifecycle contract activities, from initiation through execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Analyze and report contract-related risks or issues to the Contract Manager and senior management, providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with non-disclosure agreements.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 10 years of experience in contract administration or related contract work.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law basics and principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
  • Proven ability to build proposals and negotiate effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience as a self-starter, capable of managing multiple deadlines independently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with full lifecycle contract management practices.
  • Experience in the energy sector, particularly with industrial and power plants, is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to use a keyboard, mouse, and various office equipment (such as printers, phones, and fax machines) to complete assigned duties.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk or computer.
  • Adequate vision (with or without correction) to read documents, emails, and work on a computer screen.
  • Sufficient hearing to engage in conversations and participate in phone calls and meetings.
  • Occasionally lift and carry files or office supplies up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasional walking, standing, and bending to perform tasks, access files, or attend meetings.
  • Ability to work in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels, varying temperatures, and exposure to computers.
