The role involves performing panel assembly and wiring with additional responsibilities for field installation support, I/O checkout, and circuit debugging. This requires advanced technical knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities- Perform panel assembly and wiring according to schematics and specifications
- Install labels and tags on panels and components
- Read and understand electrical schematics
- Maintain shop and jobsite cleanliness and organization
- Support the Project Management team, Engineering staff, and Principal Electricians as needed
- Perform functional circuit debug and checkout
- Identify and redline errors in schematics
- Provide installation wiring support as required
- Assist with I/O checkout upon completion of field wiring
- Advanced electrical wiring techniques for control panels
- Proficient at reading and interpreting electrical schematics
- Circuit debugging and troubleshooting
- Field installation support and I/O checkout

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training or Associate's degree preferred
- 2 years of experience in panel building, electrical assembly, or similar field
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics
- Experience with functional testing, debugging, and I/O checkout
- Current knowledge of electrical codes, safe wiring practices, and safety procedures
- Familiarity with customer-specific requirements for industrial panels
- Field installation experience preferred
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and complex electrical schematics.
- On-site with occasional field work
- Panel fabrication facility and customer locations
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands for fine assembly work
- Frequently required to lift and move items up to 50 pounds
- May require bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and reaching
- Good near vision required for detailed assembly and debugging work
- May work in various environmental conditions during field work
