What would you do as our Project Manager?
You will serve as the central point of coordination for high-impact projects, including technical support, issue resolution, and submittal preparation. You'll ensure architectural intent is accurately reflected in final products while keeping everything on track, on budget, and on time.
You will also:
- Provide expert-level support to customers, contractors, and architects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review architectural plans and specifications; prepare accurate submittals using project management tools and software.
- Ensure hardware compatibility across product lines and verify shop drawings for accuracy and manufacturability.
- Interpret hardware templates and prepare detailed CAD/Visio drawings that incorporate building dimensions and specification requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to expand existing business and drive growth across North America.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical discrepancies as they arise.
- Participate in additional team projects as needed while fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, including the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
The skills and experience you need:
- High school diploma or GED required. Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, estimating, or technical customer support
- Proven project management experience with complex or custom-configured products in commercial construction or related industries such as building materials, doors/frames, architectural openings, or hardware.
- Strong knowledge of architectural drawings, hardware schedules, specifications, building codes, and construction principles.
- Proven experience working with customers, contractors, and architectural partners.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, or other drawing tools for shop drawing prep.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including formulas, pivot tables, and basic cell referencing.
- Solid math skills (geometry and algebra).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, resourceful, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
