What you will do

Under the guidance of the Director of Electrical & Controls Specialty Engineering , youll lead medium-complexity engineering projects from concept through completion. Youll work independently and collaboratively to design, develop, and execute capital projects that directly impact plant performance, safety, and sustainability.

A day in your life might include

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Plan, conduct, schedule, and oversee electrical engineering projects from concept through completion

  • Execute design across all phases of engineering projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders

  • Provide on-site support and project coordination to ensure successful implementation

Design & Technical Expertise

  • Perform preliminary design and review final design packages

  • Analyze and solve component and equipment design challenges

  • Create conceptual sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions for team members

  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and Campbells design requirements

Quality & Standards

  • Deliver high-quality workmanship and conduct quality assurance checks

  • Establish and maintain Campbell Soup Company design standards

  • Support engineering studies for new or improved products, processes, or technologies

Documentation & Procurement

  • Prepare project authorization documents, schedules, cost controls, and RFPs

  • Develop functional testing protocols, inspection plans, startup procedures, and training materials

  • Create and manage Bills of Material, purchase requisitions, and archived documentation

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

  • Review contractor and vendor activities to ensure compliance with plant and corporate standards

  • Interface with plant personnel to align on project goals and execution

Capital Management & Innovation

  • Support effective management of capital funds

  • Encourage and apply new methodologies and stay current with technical innovations

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with internal and external engineers, designers, and A/E firms

  • Interpret vendor drawings and schematics (Instrumentation, Process, Utility, Electrical)

  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure project success

What you will bring to the table (Must Have)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 5+ years experience in manufacturing. (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Experience with and understanding of manufacturing processes.

  • Experience managing large capital projects utilizing project management processes.

  • Experience leading a multi-disciplined team through capital project creation and execution.

  • Advanced computer skills in MS Project, MS Office, SAP, and Procurement systems.

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

What you'll bring to the team

  • Relevant experience with: Programable Logic Controllers (PLC), HMI systems, and various Motion Controllers/Actuators.

  • Good analytical skills: Ability to troubleshoot hardware and processes.

  • Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Highly motivated, self-directed and the ability to multi-task.

  • Willingness to work off-shifts and weekends to support projects and processes.

  • Ability to think on one's feet, make decisions on the fly, and react to ever-changing situations

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$93,800-$134,800

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
