Structural Engineering Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed views of buildings and construction details, collaborating with structural engineers and architects, and coordinating BIM models using Revit. This role involves coordinating drawings with other disciplines such as architects and mechanical engineers, reviewing shop drawings, and attending project meetings to ensure alignment and progress.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed views of buildings and construction details.
• Collaborate with structural engineers and architects regarding construction drawings.
• Coordinate BIM models using Revit.
• Coordinate drawings with other disciplines, including architects and mechanical engineers.
• Review shop drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Attend project meetings to discuss progress and resolve any issues.

• Proficiency in structural engineering, including structural design and analysis.
• Experience with Revit and structural steel detailing.
• Understanding of heavy structures, including concrete, metal, and wood projects.
• Ability to work effectively with an Engineer of Record (EOR).

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural detailing or equivalent education.
• Experience with Revit Structure.
• Proficiency with ArchiCAD, AutoCAD 3D, Navisworks, or other BIM collaboration software.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
