Traveling Superintendent - Mishawaka, IN
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee all field operations on assigned construction sites from groundbreaking to closeout. This role involves coordinating and supervising subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel, ensuring strict adherence to project schedules, safety protocols, and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily site walks, safety meetings, and progress reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to resolve field issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily logs, RFIs, change orders, and punch lists.
  • Enforce compliance with local building codes, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
  • Represent the company professionally with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor working on ground-up/new construction projects valuing $5-$10M each.
  • Ability to manage multiple small-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in commercial construction and construction management.
  • Familiarity with Procore and quality control standards.
  • Experience with steel structures and federal government projects.
Work Environment

This role requires traveling to Mishawaka, IN, four days a week with three days off, subject to change based on project needs. The position offers a monthly allowance to cover all travel, living, and housing costs. This is a 12-month contract, open to experienced contractors comfortable with dynamic project environments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $55.28/hr.
