Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Engineer to join our team, focusing on field activities and data collection. This role offers the opportunity to supervise and coordinate field staff, oversee data interpretation, and prepare technical reports. You will ensure compliance with company and client standards, while supporting the training and growth of junior staff. Collaborating with senior leadership, you will build consulting and leadership skills in a dynamic and rewarding environment. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement work plans and protocols.
- Supervise and coordinate field staff and activities.
- Assist with field implementation as needed.
- Oversee data collection and reduction processes.
- Interpret findings and prepare technical reports with remediation recommendations.
- Track task schedules, budgets, and invoicing.
- Ensure compliance with company and client standards.
- Mentor junior staff and facilitate their professional growth.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to enhance consulting and leadership skills.
- Bachelors degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental consulting.
- Strong background in site investigation and remediation.
- Ability to design and manage field programs, including scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination.
- Experience leading site and remedial investigation field activities.
- Strong analytical and data evaluation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with technical protocols and regulatory standards.
- Experience with the Illinois Site Remediation Program (SRP) is preferred.
- Professional Geologist (P.G.) or P.E. license is a plus.
- Willingness to mentor and support junior staff through hands-on technical guidance.
