Role Overview: Lead Technician
As a Lead Low Voltage Technician, youll be responsible for executing and overseeing the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of advanced low-voltage systems. Youll lead projects in the field, guide junior technicians, and ensure quality and safety standards are met on every job.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the installation, configuration, and programming of complex systems including Crestron, Control4, Q-SYS, Analog Way, AVPro, and others
Serve as the technical point of contact for troubleshooting and onsite issue resolution
Supervise junior technicians and subcontractors to ensure efficient, high-quality work
Coordinate and communicate with project managers and clients regarding progress, changes, or challenges
Install wireless access points, low-voltage cabling, racks, control systems, and A/V equipment
Perform network device replacements, structured cabling, and system upgrades
Conduct testing, certification, and documentation of all installed systems
Deliver client training and system walkthroughs
Enforce safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance (OSHA 30 preferred)
Maintain accurate daily records, including project logs and material usage
Set the tone for a high-performance team culture on every site
What Were Looking For
35+ years of experience in low-voltage/A/V systems integration
Strong leadership and project coordination skills
Deep technical knowledge of networking, signal flow, and system infrastructure
Experience mentoring and training other technicians
Ability to read, understand, and work from technical schematics and construction plans
Familiarity with multiple platforms: Crestron, Control4, Q-SYS, DirecTV, BrightSign, RockBot, etc.
OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
Clean driving record preferred
