This Position reports to:
Regional Service Manager - Marine & PA Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the provision of contract management services within the assigned area of responsibility, ensuring that all contract management activities are executed in accordance with the relevant corporate/division/business policies and procedures, as well as the Contract Management Policy and Contract Management Framework. Each day, you will ensure that the portfolio of contracts in the business follows contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with internal standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by reviewing and commenting on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions.
The work model for the role is: hybrid in Houston, TX or Miramar, FL but other locations could be discussed.
This role is contributing to the Marine and Ports business in US.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Developing contract strategy based on ABBs policies, customer requirements, and the overall execution strategy, considering the risk, pricing, scope, and schedule.
- Identifying/ coordinating the identification of the contract baseline and highlighting the areas of potential risk.
- Establishing and enforcing standard change methodologies in the portfolio of contracts to identify changes and quantify the additional time and compensation due for ABB as per the contract, defining approval requirements, and communicating changes to the customer.
- Enforcing and defending ABB's contractual interests against customers and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle, including monitoring and assessment of changes and deviations, as well as defending and enforcing claims.

- Bachelors degree in Business, Law, Finance and/or related field of study
- At least 10 years of relevant Contract Management work related experience required.
- Marine and Ports, or Industrial experience would be a plus
- Understanding of business law and US/Canada contract regulations.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
