Heavy Equipment & Civil Operations Operator

Were seeking a Heavy Equipment & Civil Operations Operator play a key role for a residential development project in the Highland area of Anchorage This position requires solid experience operating heavy equipment operation experience and a valid Class A -CDL. The job may perform a wide variety of tasks in addition to duties listed below.

Key Duties

Perform residential construction activities, including excavation, grading, road building, all property clearing and grubbing, land development, site preparation, etc.
Transfer from one task to another as the workflow dictates.
Interpret drawings and specifications.
Operate heavy equipment as is applicable for the various activities.
Perform daily routine maintenance for the equipment.

Job Requirements

Class A CDL required.
Must have minimum of 5 years of heavy equipment operation experience, working residential or commercial civil construction projects.
Requires strong knowledge and experience with grade checking, and septic installation.
Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug test.

Work Schedule

8-10-hour shift, Monday through Friday.
Overtime is possible.
Weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to physically operate heavy equipment for long periods of time.
Must be able to cut down trees, bushes, etc and prepare them for removal.
Must be able to stoop, climb, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand to operate and repair heavy equipment.
Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures.
Must be able to walk/maneuver on uneven surfaces.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs at a time.
Steady hands and feet are needed to guide and control heavy machinery precisely.
Appropriate physical condition and endurance required.
Must be able to work onsite and work long weeks – up to 50 hours.

Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications.
