Journeyman HVAC Sheet Metal Installer

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking a CT Licensed Journeyman HVAC Sheet Metal Installer for a commercial office buildout in Norwalk, CT. This is a high-profile, professional-grade installation requiring quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. You'll install, modify, and inspect sheet metal duct systems to support a full mechanical upgrade in a fast-paced but organized job site environment. Ideal for individuals who thrive in commercial settings and can work independently or with minimal supervision.

Note: The hourly rate for this position is $46 - $46 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:

• Monday Through Friday 7am Start Time
• Install and secure rectangular, round, and spiral ductwork per specifications and blueprints
• Cut, fabricate, and hang ducts using hand tools and mechanical fasteners
• Read and follow detailed mechanical drawings and job site instructions
• Coordinate with project foreman and other trades to ensure smooth installation flow
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
• Troubleshoot on-site issues and make necessary adjustments
• Maintain an organized work area and contribute to job site cleanliness

Qualifications:

• CT Journeyman SM License (Sheet Metal)
• Required Minimum 3 years experience in commercial HVAC and duct installation
• Must have OSHA 10 certification
• Must have full set of standard SM hand tools (snips, pliers, tape, etc.)
• Must bring and wear a bicycle-style chin strap helmet
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., work at heights, and stand for long periods
• Reliable transportation to job site in Norwalk, CT
• Parking: Onsite parking available (no restrictions)
