Construction SuperintendentJob Description

A nationally recognized general contractor and construction management firm is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to join our team for a high-priority infrastructure project at JFK Terminal One. This role is critical in overseeing daily field operations, ensuring efficient coordination of trades, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

Responsibilities

+ Lead daily construction operations, including scheduling, logistics, and trade coordination.

+ Enforce strict adherence to OSHA and PANYNJ safety protocols.

+ Support quality control to ensure all work complies with contract documents and design specifications.

+ Conduct regular site inspections, document progress, and report updates to project management.

+ Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, inspectors, and client representatives to resolve field issues.

+ Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, manpower logs, and safety records.

+ Assist with punch list completion, project closeout, and turnover procedures.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

+ Minimum 5 years of construction site experience.

+ 5 years experience as a Superintendent.

+ Experience with public infrastructure projects.

+ Heavy Civil experience is a must, including bridges, roadway, and highways.

+ OSHA 30 certification.

+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.

+ Strong communication and leadership skills with an ability to coordinate field teams and subcontractors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Heavy civil and aviation experience is a must.

Work Environment

The position is located at JFK Terminal and involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment. The role may require coordination with various stakeholders and adherence to safety protocols and construction standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
