Line Mechanic**

**Job Description**

The Line Mechanic plays an essential role in maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The successful candidate will possess expertise in Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, Pneumatic, Troubleshooting, Fabrication, and light machining, applying these skills in a safety-first and team-based environment.

**Responsibilities**

+ Use safety devices and protective equipment, and apply safe work practices and methods in operating all necessary tools and equipment.

+ Maintain, install, and repair electrical/electromechanical and mechanical component systems for concrete masonry plant equipment.

+ Read blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate repairs and installations.

+ Weld and fabricate as needed.

+ Foster a collaborative team environment.

+ Operate motor vehicles and mobile equipment safely, including man lifts, forklifts, and skid steers.

+ Plan work effectively and maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

+ Perform and drive preventative maintenance on all equipment to reduce downtime.

+ Correct and report hazardous conditions to ensure safety.

+ Collaborate with maintenance and manufacturing personnel to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

+ Quickly assess issues during breakdowns, communicate with operators, and apply troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for efficient repairs.

+ Conduct building and grounds maintenance.

+ Knowledge of safety rules related to mechanical and electrical work

+ Skilled in using hand tools and testing equipment

+ Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals

+ Basic computer skills

**Work Environment**

The role requires responding to emergency calls after hours and working extended hours as needed. Tasks are performed both indoors and outdoors, facing various weather elements. Must be capable of operating heavy equipment and machinery. Physical demands include walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting a minimum of 90 pounds, with the ability to work at heights using aerial lifts and ladders.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Holland, Pennsylvania.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
