Production Labor**
**Job Description**
The role involves using molds and presses in the production process to create both first part and regular production parts efficiently, with minimal supervision. You will work on manufacturing assignments according to written procedures, requiring the ability to recognize deviations from standard practices. Collaboration with co-workers in a team environment is essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate press machines to create parts using molds.
+ Clean and prime parts using appropriate chemicals and solutions.
+ Measure stock to ensure correct thickness and length.
+ Place various materials in molds, on mandrels, or build fixtures by hand.
+ Weigh stock and scrap for salvage.
+ Monitor production for defective parts to ensure early defect detection.
+ Use production equipment and tools, such as calipers and scales, regularly.
+ Complete materials handling recordkeeping according to company and ISO standards.
+ Follow internal safety policies and procedures at all times.
+ Maintain a work area free of safety hazards and clutter, including setup and cleanup at the start and end of shifts.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Lead, Planner, Production Supervisor, and/or Module Manager.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
+ Proficient in reading a tape measure.
+ Skilled in using hand tools to fabricate parts.
+ Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
+ Hand dexterity.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Combination of relevant education and experience can be considered in lieu of exact education.
+ Skilled in using hand tools, including calipers, depth gages, micrometers, and other measuring equipment and machinery.
