General Definition:
- Assists with waste and manure collection.
Essential Job Functions:
- Immediately reports problems with tools, equipment, or work assignment directly to the supervisor or lead.
- Participates in meetings, training and other company-related activities as scheduled.
- Seeks out the assistance of a supervisor to address questions and concerns.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures in accordance with company standards.
- Follows all company policies and procedures, including departmental policies and TX Racing Commission rules.
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED; and 1 years related experience and/or training; or combination.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to operate motorized a golf cart or gator.
- Must be familiar with working around heavy equipment and trucking operations
- Must be able to follow instruction
- Must be able to use hand tools
- Must be capable of reviewing and approving hoisting and rigging plans as required
- Preferred familiarity with intermodal container maintenance
- Preferred familiarity with compliance issues related to Waste Acceptance Criteria
- Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemicals/solvents material if proper safety procedures are not followed.
- Ability to carry several instruments/equipment or tools while walking extensively.
- Ability to work in confined areas, tanks, heat stress conditions, high noise and areas with chemical hazards.
Training and Experience:
- 1 year work related experience and/or training; or combination.
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functions
- Texas Racing Commission License (TXRC)
- Class C driver license
