Summary

The Pipe Superintendent is responsible for large sized Civil constructionprojects, from project kickoff throughout final punch-list closeout. The rolewill support various teams, including the scheduling and oversight ofsubcontractors. The Pipe Superintendent will be responsible for delivering theproject on time and developing and maintaining productive and trustedrelationships with the client and related stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe conduct of personnel and subcontractors to ensure azero-accident project. Ensure all site personnel meet minimum safetyrequirements (e.g. training, orientations, tools and equipment)Coordinate assigned work with work of different construction professionals,company departments, or other contractors. Oversee the performance and trainingof project teams and subcontractors. Maintain subcontractor relationshipsManage multiple small to large sized civil construction projectssimultaneouslyHelp develop, maintain and enforce schedule, ensure that all projectobjectives and milestones are metWork with estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings,specifications, and schedule, and ensure no scope gap or missAssist in resolving construction problems (e.g. lack of productivity, workinterfaces, etc.) as requiredMonitor construction compliance with project safety program requirements;document and ensure corrective measures are implementedAssist with project pursuits in evaluation of construction scope(s),assessing appropriate manpower and work sequencingPrepare daily activity plans to assure that requisite personnel, equipmentand supplies are in place to ensure that the following days' work will beconducted in a safe manner with minimal wasted effortEnsure that direct reporting employees follow safe work practices and usecompany guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safemanner. Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellowemployees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.Support close-out processProvide timely updates to project team and managementComplete all required reporting such as daily report, weekly report, and anyother report required for meetingsPerform additional assignments per Project Manager's direction.

Education and/or Experience

At least 6 years of experience supporting commercial construction projectsas a Pipe Superintendent with a General ContractorAbility to implement and manage a project scheduleAbility and desire to train and mentor subordinate field staffExperience in HCSS(Heavyjobs) and Bluebeam is preferredSafety oriented OSHA 30 preferredCost control, manpower planning and scheduling experienceLeadership attributes including, but and not limited to organizational andcritical thinking skills, the ability to analyze data and trends, professionalconduct at all timesHigh-stress tolerance; must be able to thrive in a high-pressure environmentA highly motivated self-starting, autonomous individual who can workindependently and set their own priorities, yet also function well as part ofthe overall team
