Intern (Civil Engineering Major)

NOVA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Intern to join our Kennesaw, GA office. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Construction Materials Testing & Inspections projects. The ideal candidate will work part-time during the fall 2025 semester and have the potential to transition to a full-time role starting in January 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Engineers and other NOVA Professionals with a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties.
  • Operate equipment, conduct tests/assessments, and report data accurately.
  • Work from drawings, specifications, diagrams, schematics, and specific verbal and written instructions.
  • Use specific methods to observe site activities, take samples, and perform tests.
  • Make minor adjustments and modifications to equipment and procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Senior year)
  • Strong interest in Construction Materials Testing & Inspections.
  • Ability to work part-time during the fall 2025 semester and transition to full-time in January 2026.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions and work independently when required.
