The Gogo Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing and qualifying electronic components at a high quality using electrical engineering fundamentals and concepts while following our robust design process. This role will have a focus on analog power supply design, DC power protection/filtering, and design for EMI robustness.
This position will work as part of a tightly integrated development team, designing and testing electronic hardware and developing functional test methods.

How will you make a difference?
Responsible for hardened, robust analog circuit design
Create new switching power supply designs given specific power requirements
Make new power input protection circuits given specific power requirements
Understand and modify existing power circuits
Understand EMI fundamentals and component troubleshooting experience
Lead and participate in Schematic Design and PCB Layout activities
Schematic capture (Cadence OrCAD) and prototype bring up of embedded digital and analog hardware designs including power protection circuitry, switching power supply topologies, and robust I/O design
Determine, implement and validate embedded electronic power supply requirements including standalone switching supplies and PMICs
Lead Low-level design of single-board computer designs
Design system hardware to meet RTCA DO-160
Execute verification, validation and stress testing of electrical hardware consisting of ethernet, USB, aircraft interfaces, PC/embedded system components and proprietary microcomputers and devices
Identify and effectively troubleshoot combined Hardware/Firmware/Software problems and implement appropriate corrections
Collaborate effectively in a small team environment. Be a key contributor to the hardware/software design from early prototype development to release of product
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
4-7 years of rugged hardware and/or avionics experience
Required Skills, Talents & Experience
Experience in switching power supply design, testing, and validation
EMI immunity testing and troubleshooting experience
Avionics industry, DO-160, or MIL-STD design experience
Familiarity of PC architecture, interfaces, and peripherals
Familiarity with lab equipment for design and troubleshooting exercises, including Oscilloscopes, DMM, Programmable power supplies, and spectrum analyzers
Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating system environments
Proficiency with Microsoft software tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Skills, Talents & Experience
- FCC/regulatory experience preferred

Base Pay:
112,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD Annual
Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:
Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
