Part/Project Estimator Aerospace Machine Shop**

Position Overview:
The Part/Project Estimator will be responsible for evaluating RFQs, preparing accurate cost estimates, and developing project timelines for aerospace components. This role requires a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, welding processes, and aerospace-grade materials such as aluminum and Inconel.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and RFQs to prepare detailed cost estimates
+ Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of quotes
+ Utilize estimating software and ERP systems to generate and manage quotes
+ Assess material, labor, and time requirements for each project
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aerospace standards and materials, especially high-dollar alloys
+ Communicate directly with clients and vendors as needed to clarify project scope and expectations
+ Work independently to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
Qualifications:
+ Proven experience in estimating within a machine shop or aerospace manufacturing environment
+ Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and welding processes
+ Familiarity with aerospace materials, particularly aluminum and Inconel
+ Proficiency with estimating software and computer programs (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, CAD a plus)
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills
+ Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Preferred:
+ Prior experience quoting for aerospace clients
+ Background in project management or production planning
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $45.00/hr.
