Paving Superintendent

Seeking a Paving Superintendent for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Lebanon, TN. This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k! Salary is between $100,000 - $125,000 per year (based on experience) Responsibilities: Conduct pre-job site inspections to identify challenges and implement mitigation strategies Review Operations Google Calendar one week in advance and day prior to confirm job readiness Attend weekly scheduling meetings and maintain accurate project schedules Coordinate workflow and sequencing with other trades and subcontractors Assist with takeoffs and estimates for paving and milling projects Communicate next-day crew lineup from Operations Manager to Foremen Provide direction to Foremen and Crew Leaders regarding daily job plans Monitor mat thickness, temperature, compaction, crown, and cross-slope specifications Coordinate milling pace with hauling and cleanup activities Ensure proper joint construction and finished surface tolerances Verify all required permits are obtained before work commences Interface with inspectors, testing agencies, utility contractors, and other stakeholders Oversee jobsite execution by Foremen, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity Participate in on-site and off-site meetings with clients and agencies Log corrective actions and personnel feedback as needed Order and schedule equipment, materials, trucking, and traffic control Document and follow up on safety incidents, equipment breakdowns, and personnel issues Mentor team members, provide training, and foster professional growth Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in paving experience 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent Strong knowledge of paving and milling operations, materials, and equipment Proven leadership and mentoring skills; ability to manage and develop field teams Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Google Calendar) and construction documentation Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications Excellent coordination and communication skills across trades and clients Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and flexible schedules as needed Valid driver's license and clean driving record If you are interested in learning more about this role, please submit your resume for immediate consideration!
