General Laborer/Driver

Start your new career as a Rail Yard Assistant with MAU at South Carolina Ports Authority in Charleston, SC. As a Rail Yard Assistant, you will support rail transportation operations by preparing shipments and safely moving vehicles in the yard.

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid South Carolina Driver's License
• TWIC card required
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
• 5+ years of clean driving history
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, walk, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including weekends and overtime

What You'll Do as a Rail Yard Assistant:

• Open and close heavy railcar doors
• Remove and secure wheel chocks and bridge plates
• Safely operate personal motor vehicles in confined yard spaces
• Park vehicles in designated shipment areas
• Perform additional duties as assigned
