About the Role:
Join our team as a 2nd Shift Heavy Laborer in the Freezer Department! This role ensures our production processes run smoothly by performing general, non-mechanical labor tasks. You'll be responsible for duties such as strapping finished goods, stacking pallets, inspecting products, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities:
Strap finished goods, stack pallets, and perform tote makeups and tear-downs.
Inspect products for extraneous materials and ensure boxes are properly closed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in alignment with good housekeeping practices.
Lift and move 50-100 pounds as required.
Follow all food safety, legality, and quality policies, including GMPs and plant hygiene standards.
Operate safely in extreme cold environments.
Report mechanical or safety concerns promptly to the Supervisor or Lead.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Freezer Production Supervisor or Lead.
Qualifications
Basic math skills.
Ability to record data onto spreadsheets accurately.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with management and coworkers.
Must be able to work in cold environments and overtime as required.
Reliable attendance and safe work habits.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a production or freezer environment is a plus.
