DESCRIPTION
Knightvest Management is looking for an aggressive and motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee major and minor renovation projects in Phoenix, AZ; an experienced professional who can effectively work on multiple simultaneous projects in multiple locations. The right individual will be committed to providing the superior service levels that is consistent with the company's expectations of going above and beyond.
Responsibilities
Develop, manage and meet scope based on ideas in remodeling without the use of a set of plans
Develop and prepare project budgets and cost estimates. Ensure that project budget stays within budget.
Negotiate and write contracts
Develop schedules and maintains targeted completion dates. Understands how to manage milestones, and bring appropriate resources to challenges impacting the schedule
Analyze bids and issue contract documentation; track contractor insurance certificates and monitor licensure status
Ensure that coordination and regular communication of overall project occurs between construction and others involved in the planning and construction of company projects. Advises management of any project delays or budget challenges and identifies alternate actions to maintain schedules and budgets.
Report and provide assistance to the Vice President of Construction with project management duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of construction experience required
Ability to develop scope without the use of a set of plans
Strong ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of renovation/construction
Ability to prepare, track and meet aggressive but realistic budgets
Solid understanding of industry-standard construction
Computer skills (Word, Excel) to allow for creation of spreadsheets and scope document development
Understanding and management of bid process
Analytical and costing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A highly organized, detail-oriented and reliable professional who can work independently
This position will travel- up to 50% travel
