ABOUT THE JOBConstruction, installation, and/or maintenance of overhead garagedoors. Working with carpentry and hand/power tools, as well asvarious materials to install, repair, maintain, or replace doors.Drive to job sites to assess work and complete necessary actions.Ensure the garage door opener and all electronic components areworking properly. Communicating directly with clients to providesatisfactory customer service. A Garage Door Installer is alsoresponsible for documenting work and maintaining inventory. ABOUTYOU High school diploma or GED required Mechanically inclinedAbility to work a full-time schedule Valid and clean 3-year drivingrecord (MVR will be run prior to hire) Relevant prior experience ina related field of garage door and opener service construction,framing, HVAC, or related field Physical ability to work on feet anentire shift and carry/move objects weighing up to 70 lbs, in theoutdoor elements. Ability to successfully pass pre-employmentbackground check. QUALIFICATIONS Ability to communicate with thecustomer in an up-sell and solution-based conversation. Ability toread and understand directions and instructions. Strongcommunication skills. A team player. Organized, innovative, andpossession of an excellent work ethic. Flexible, do whatever ittakes approach. Aptitude for problem solving; ability to determinesolutions for customers. Comfortable working in outdoor conditions.Pride yourself on safety, accuracy, and speed. Comfortable withpiece rate work. RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operating company vehicle.Maintaining a safe and clean work site, equipment, and companyvehicle. Assisting with commercial and residential garage doorissues. Review work orders for accuracy and completeness beforedeparting the job site.
