Description

Important Note:

This is a travel-based position. You will not report to our office in Fleetwood, PA. Work is performed on-site at customer locations across the United States, based on project needs. Some assignments may require travel for up to 2 weeks (or more) at a time, including out-of-state stays. Hotel and per diem are provided for all out-of-area jobs.

Pre-employment Qualifications and Special Considerations

Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including long-distance and overnight stays

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Lead a crew of millwrights, pipefitters, welders, and laborers through a series of tasks to complete an industrial project

Manage project details and report workforce time and attendance

Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

Install, align, dismantle, rig and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans

Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and lifts to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery

Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts

Construct foundations for machinery

Assemble machinery and equipment before installation using hand and power tools and welding

Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery

OSHA certified with the skills to assess, implement and train others in safety guidelines as required by OSHA, Axcess Industries and the client

Requirements

Experience supervising members of a project team as well as managing all on-site project activities, scheduling and reporting

Outstanding leadership and problem-solving skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills
